ingrediënten (voor 4 personen):
  • 5 dl seterrømme (not for sale in the Netherlands, but it's similar to sour cream)
  • 2 dl flour
  • 7-8 dl milk
  • 1 tsp salt

bereiding:
  1. Bring the cream to boil on a low fire and let it boil for about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Add 1 dl melk and let it boil while stirring so the fat comes out. Pour off the fat.
  3. Mix the rest of the milk so that the mixture is still quite thick. Let the grøt boil for another 8-10 minutes. Bring to taste with some salt.
  4. Serve the grøt in a deep plate with a layer of sugar and cinnamon (and in the middle a little butter, the Swedish eat it without butter, Norwegians with butter)
tip: After the grøt, serve spekemat and flatbrød, to compensate something sweet with something salty. Flatbrød is very thin 'bread', a thin cracker of a millimeter thick, about 20x20 cm. Spekemat is different kinds of salted meat. You could also eat potatoes with it.
