ingrediënten (voor 1 stuk):
- 4 eggs
- 3 dl sugar
- 3 dl flour
- 2 tsp natron (a kind of seasoning, a little different than vanilla sugar)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 ˝ dl oil
- 4-5 dl fresh, clean carrots

- For the icing:
- 100 gr cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 50 gr butter or margarine
- 125 gr powdered sugar (ca 3 dl)
bereiding:
- Batter the eggs and sugar together to 'eggedosis'. That's like making cream of eggs but in this case with sugar and egg yolk. HAs to become a fluffy substance.
- Sieve the flour, natron (not sure if that is available here), cinnamon, salt and vanilla sugar.
- Grate the carrots and mix them with the rest.
- Bake the cake at 190°C in about 1 hour on the lowest grill of the oven (you can freeze the cake without the icing).
- For the icing: Mix everything together and spread it on the cake (that is cooled down!!)
