Sweet and sour pork strips

Deepfried pork strips with a sweet and sour sauce.

ingrediënten (voor 2 personen):
  • 250 g tender pork
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 egg
  • corn starch
  • sugar
  • vinegar, soy sauce
  • ginger, garlic
  • white pepper, salt

  1. Cut the pork into strips. CHop up the ginger and garlic. Cut the spring onion into large pieces.
  2. Break the egg into a bowl. Add some white pepper, salt and 2 tablespoons of corn starch. Mix well, add the prok and mix again.
  3. Deepfry the pork until done in about 5 minutes. Put the pieces on a serving scale.
  4. Mix a sauce of half a teaspoon of corn starch, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Heat some oil in a stirfrying pan and add the ginger and garlic, 3 teaspoons of sugar and a little water. When this boils, add the sauce. Last, add the spring onion.
  5. Pour this sauce over the pork strips. Serve with rice.
tip: When you deepfry in the stirfrying pan, save the oil for later use.
